New AUTODOME IP Cameras locate, track, and zoom in on details

Munich Bosch broadens its portfolio of pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras with the latest addition of new AUTODOME IP 4000 and AUTODOME IP 5000 models. These motion control cameras locate, track, and zoom in on details to provide relevant information that enables timely and accurate response of operators to various instances.

The new AUTODOME IP cameras precisely identifies objects of interest over large distances, and provides hands-on control to different types of video surveillance solutions. Typical applications are large retail stores, shopping malls, convention centers and casinos where it is of utmost importance that security personnel are enabled to clearly see what is happening and to react instantly on suspicious situations.

Complete portfolio for different requirements

The AUTODOME IP camera series consist of a reliable collection of moving (PTZ) cameras. All AUTODOME IP cameras, including the AUTODOME IP 4000 and 5000 models, offer 720p or full HD 1080p resolution.

The AUTODOME IP 4000 HD camera embodies a subtle dome housing, which is designed to complement the interior design of various applications. With its 12x optical zoom capabilities, it can identify objects of interest up to 95 meters away in full HD.

Meanwhile, when larger indoor and outdoor areas such as public spaces, are needed to be covered, the AUTODOME IP 5000 HD is deemed ideal because of its full pan and tilt control. With its 30x optical zoom capabilities, it can identify objects of interest up to 190 meters away in full HD.

For settings that require surveillance under low light condition, the AUTODOME IP 5000 IR camera ensures that objects of interest up to 150 meters can be viewed even in complete darkness. Its built-in intelligent IR beam ensures optimum illumination, regardless of the level of zoom.

Perfect exposure at the lowest network strain

The AUTODOME IP cameras feature built-in intelligence such as Intelligent Defog and Intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction. The Intelligent Defog enhances the camera’s viewing function under foggy or other low contrast scenes.

On the other hand, Intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction reduces storage costs and network strain by decreasing data transfer rates or bitrates by up to 50 percent. Since excess noise is already reduced at the source once the image is captured, lower bitrates do not adversely affect video quality.

Local storage inside the camera further improves network performance through compensation for short network outages, enabling continuous availability of video data in Video Recording Manager (VRM) systems.

Dynamic Transcoding technology from Bosch allows AUTODOME IP camera users to adjust the bitrate to available bandwidth. When used along with Bosch Video Security application cameras can provide 24/7 remote access to video data and controls, regardless of available bandwidth.

To reap the complete benefits of Dynamic Transcoding, IP video surveillance system can be extended with either a DIVAR IP recording solution or VIDEOJET XTC from Bosch.

Bosch IP standard-definition and high-definition cameras, encoders, and analytics work seamlessly with a wide range of security software and recording solutions from Bosch and many other industry providers. This is backed by ONVIF conformance (Open Network Video Interface Forum) and the Integration Partner Program (IPP), which provides developers with immediate access to software development tools for easy integration of Bosch products with third-party systems. Further details of the Bosch Integration Partner Program are available at ipp.boschsecurity.com.
